Heritage, both cultural and natural, of a country oriented towards tourism such as Croatia deserves a special place in foreign language teaching of future professionals. Heritage interpretation is a challenging work which comprises not only excellent knowledge of the subject, but also language proficiency on syntactic and lexical level. French is being taught in several faculties as the LSP (tourism) which requires specific approach. This report deals with the methodology of French for specific purposes applied at the Department of Tourism and Communication Studies (University of Zadar, Croatia) where lectures on 3rd year of undergraduate studies (B1 level) are focused on both natural and cultural interpretation, typical language structures and specific vocabulary.
