Among presenters at the conference you will find researchers from various regions of Russia, countries of the former Soviet Union and other foreign countries. The conference, for instance, gives a comprehensive picture of practically all aspects of St. Petersburg philological life. One of the traditions formed during the many years that the International Philological Conference has been held is an active participation of young researchers, both post-graduate students and candidates of science (holders of the first Doctoral degree). They account for approximately one third of all participants. The International Philological Conference opens with several plenary sessions, which gives representatives of different research fields an opportunity to familiarise themselves with key developments in various areas of philological science.
